Why am I unable to connect my Facebook account?

Seeing the message "An error occurred while connecting your Instagram account"? If you're still at the Facebook login stage, here's how to troubleshoot:

  1. Complete Facebook Login:
    Ensure you've followed the Facebook login instructions carefully, including allowing any extra browser permissions like pop-up openings.
  2. Successful Login:
    Confirm that you've successfully logged into Facebook.
  3. Grant Necessary Permissions:
    Make sure you've granted access to the Businesses, Pages, and Instagram Accounts as prompted. If you're using Meta Business Suite for your Facebook or Instagram, it's crucial to provide access to that specific business.
  4. Retrieve Instagram Page:
    Post-Facebook login, Heylist needs to access your connected Instagram page. For guidance, refer to Step 7 in our documentation: Switching from Instagram Personal to Creator Account.

The error generally indicates a hiccup in the Facebook login process or insufficient permissions to access your Instagram page.
