Role Overview

As COO, you'll be the operating backbone of Heylist. You'll partner with the CEO on strategy and execution, own our operating cadence (planning, reviews, priorities), and align cross-functional leaders around a shared roadmap. You'll build scalable systems for people, finance, and operations, and help set the tone for how we work as we scale.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Execution

  • Partner with the CEO on company strategy, planning, and execution
  • Own key business metrics and drive accountability across the leadership team
  • Support fundraising, investor reporting, and board communication

2. Operating Cadence

  • Design and run the operating cadence: annual planning, quarterly reviews, OKRs
  • Align GTM, Product, Engineering, People, and Finance on shared priorities
  • Establish decision-making rhythms and cross-functional forums

3. Systems & Processes

  • Build scalable systems and processes across operations, people, and finance
  • Own vendor and tooling decisions across shared functions
  • Improve internal operations through automation and clear ownership

4. People & Culture

  • Support hiring plans, comp philosophy, and org design
  • Shape company culture and operating principles as we scale
  • Coach leaders across the organization

What You'll Own

Requirements

  • 10+ years in operations, general management, or executive roles in SaaS or high-growth companies
  • Track record of scaling companies from early stage through growth stage
  • Strong financial acumen, planning, and execution skills
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, pace, and high standards
  • Fluent in English and French

Nice to Have

  • Experience in MarTech, AdTech, or creator economy
  • Experience supporting fundraising and board work
  • Prior COO or Chief of Staff experience
