Why male content creators are in high demand in 2026 (and how to get started)

By
Anthony Abi Nader
What if you actually have more of a place than you think? A lot of men hesitate before getting into content creation. I used to ask myself the same questions. Why would brands choose me? Did I really belong in this space? Was it already too late to start? Today, after working on more than 20 campaigns, I can tell you one thing. Everything starts with a decision. The decision to begin.

Starting without a plan

Most creators start without a plan. That’s exactly how I began in January 2025 with Heylist.
At the beginning, I had no plan. I was creating content simply because I enjoyed it.
I was sharing restaurants, events, and moments from my life with my energy, my style, and that slightly “iconic” side that naturally represents me. It was simple, spontaneous, and without pressure.

Your first collaboration doesn’t need to be perfect.  Mine was La Poutine Week 2025, and it changed everything. I showed up, created my content, and posted it without expectations, and that’s when things shifted. Opportunities started to come in. Since then, I’ve worked on more than 20 campaigns across food, beauty, and experiences. Each project pushed me to grow and step outside my comfort zone.

Why there is a real opportunity for male creators

Recent influencer marketing reports show that around 70% of content creators are women, while only about 30% are men, especially in lifestyle and beauty niches (Collabstr, 2025). At the same time, male creators often earn more per collaboration on average, highlighting a strong demand from brands for more diverse profiles (inBeat, 2025).

Why male content creators are in high demand in 2026 (and how to get started)

They are not just looking for content. They are looking for different perspectives, new voices, and authentic personalities. The market is not saturated. It is evolving, and being a male creator in this space can actually be an advantage.

What you will learn by starting

Your first pieces of content will not be perfect, but every post will teach you something. Over time, you will build confidence, learn how to speak on camera, develop your creativity, and create a real connection with your audience.

Being a creator is not about being perfect. It is about being willing to grow.

How to start today

If you are thinking about starting, keep it simple. Start with what you have. You do not need perfect equipment. Your phone is enough. Be yourself from the beginning. That is what will make you stand out. Stay consistent. Growth comes from showing up regularly, not from waiting for perfection.

How to land your first collaboration

At the beginning, the hardest part is access. You can create content, but how do brands find you? What helped me was staying active, creating content even without collaborations, and saying yes to opportunities when they came. Platforms like Heylist also made a big difference. They gave me access to real campaigns, real brands, and concrete opportunities. That structure helped me build my portfolio and position myself as a creator.

Today, I have an engaged community, regular collaborations, and a real sense of growth, both personally and creatively. But, more than anything, I built something that started from nothing.

In the end...

If you’re still hesitating, if you are a man and you are still hesitating to start, take this as your sign.

You do not need to be ready.
You do not need to be perfect.
You just need to begin.

Because sometimes, one opportunity is all it takes to change everything.
